eXporter is an additional program created to save time for those who do a significant amount of testing. With eXporter, users looking to transfer out tests in bulk can export data directly from the Espion standard EXP
files to txt
files.
Important: The free trial is available for unlimited use with limitations. These limitations include fewer customization options, exportation of one record at a time, and the ability to only open one EXP
file per program opening; if you would like to try more than one EXP
file on the trial version, reopen the program and try again. Otherwise an error message will appear.
Step 1: Download Espion eXporter
Navigate to the Diagnosys Exporter Software page on our website. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and fill out the form. Be sure to check the box that asks if you would like access to the free trial.
After submitting the form, a Diagnosys agent will send you a download link. The program will most likely download to your Downloads
folder. As a lightweight program, it will simply be a exe
file that does not require installation.
Note: the eXporter software must be located in your main software directory (usually C:\Multifocal
).
Note: if your main software directory is located other than C:\Multifocal
you may need additional steps to ensure eXporter is working correctly.
For easier access, you can create a shortcut of the program and put it on your Desktop. Right click Exporter.exe->Send to -> Desktop (Create Shortcut)
. This will create a shortcut on your desktop.
Step 2: Open an EXP file in eXporter
Have an EXP
file ready to go. For instructions on how to obtain test information in the EXP
format refer to the Transfer Out article.
1) Launch software.
2) Click Open
.
3) Select your EXP
file and click Open
.
Step 3: Export Test Data
1) All your tests should load and come up. Select the test you want to export and press Export
.
2) Press the Export
button in the pop up message.
Important: The Free Trial version of eXporter only allows for one record to be exported at a time. To transfer all records at the same time, a license key is required. Purchase a license key by emailing support@diagnosysllc.com or contacting your local Diagnosys representative.
3) Your test data will be exported to a txt
file in the same location as the Exporter.exe
file (Downloads folder if you never moved it)
Note: While the txt
files are always exported to the same location as Exporter.exe
, there is an option to specify the Export File
Path
. This option is only available for licensed programs.
