Upgrade Due

This error message indicates that your hardware is incompatible with Espion software V7.  

Reasons for discontinuation 

• We will not be able to repair your E2 or AVR-based control system due to obsolete components no longer available.
• Prior generation hardware is optimized for USB communication with Windows XP. Upgrading to newer operating systems may introduce communication errors and delays, which can interfere with patient testing. Therefore, we don’t recommend simply replacing the computer.
• E2 and AVR-based control systems are not supported by the latest software, and there will be no further updates available. Bug fixes, new features, and additional test modules will not be available on the E2 or AVR-based control systems. This includes cybersecurity and encryption updates to strengthen the security of patient health information stored on the device.

Upgrade options 

• Espion E2 Console can be upgraded to our Espion E3 (D315)
• Control units can be upgraded from an AVR to an ARM processor board (D371)
• Espion E3 Consoles with AVR control boards can be upgraded to ARM-based control boards (D371)

These upgrades offer the potential for improved resolution and access to our latest developments including Sweep VEP, DiagnosysFST, pediatric ERG, and many more.
